Description:
On November 1, 1989, José and Emilio Alcázar, twin brothers, were abducted by an alien space ship in Madrid city. Several people witnessed the appearance of the ship, which lost control and crashed by accident on Gran Vía street in 2005.
From the moment of their return and until today, the brothers live outside this space-time, performing the same routine every day and visiting the scene of the incident, hoping that one day they will return for them and be able to return to the other world which they feel they belong. During the wait, they transform their reality by recreating what they experienced in the abduction as a way of resistance.
Destined is the metaphorical result of the collection of files, testimonies and anecdotes of what they lived outside of this planet.
This project seeks to resignify the story of José and Emilio, to see their reality from a deeper perspective and different from what the press and media have shown over the years. It is also a project that allows the viewer to question the existence of other worlds, life beyond death and the passage of time.
