As part of our activities in the NELIS Lagos Local Chapter, the AYICRIP-NELIS FOOTBALL ACADEMY is growing fast. It is also attracting interest from Lagosians as parents and community leaders are supporting the NELIS/OMLA mission of raising a new generation of African Leaders and that of AYICRIP of raising crime prevention ambassadors through
sports by 2030.
As a result of our sustained activities, some organizations are approaching us. In the past, we have hosted the U.S. consulate team. More recently, the United Nations Information Centre, the Brazilian Embassy and the Swedish Embassy have manifested their interest in visiting our training sessions.
Felix has been doing great as technical director of the ACADEMY while I am the CEO. As volunteers, we have been hosting the training for 10 weeks now.
I am sincerely happy with the turnout of the project because NELIS/OMLA’s objectives are being achieved and sustainability is needed.
We are currently making plans to formalize the registration of the ACADEMY’s name for documentation purposes, given the numerous ongoing requests for support and sponsorship from both home and abroad.
AYICRIP FOOTBALL ACADEMY is originally registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), but based on this new development, we need to consider the change at the CAC in order to avoid documentation issues.
