The Nigerian Inspector-General of Police Mohammed Adamu said the police recorded 717 rape cases between January and May. So much needs to be done and no actions seem to be taken. For that reason, The Nelis Akure Hub ant the Local Chapter Coordinators of Kenya and Liberia launched an online campaign against rape.
On July 13th, Adedoyin Irensola, Monica K Wanjiru, Benjamin D.Yeagar, Christogonus C. Ibe and Omowumni Ogunrotimi (founder of the Gender Mobile Initiative) are organizing a virtual colloquium on Rape where they are going to talk about it causes, preventions, reactions and consequences.
