The NELIS Uganda Local Chapter led a one-day workshop at the Holy Family School in the Kalungu District (Masaka region). Over 600 students from 4 schools gathered around one theme: eliminating computer illiteracy. A computer training session, a testing session and an NLU micro training were all part of a facilitated experience blending tech and sustainability.
This effort is part of a larger project the Uganda Local Chapter has been developing called Osobola (meaning ‘you can’), which aims to empower young people by equipping them with new skills. The team is planning to visit secondary schools and universities to invite enthusiastic students to join, learn and create a better future for themselves, Uganda and Africa.
