Thanks to the kind donations of six individuals, NELIS is supporting nine different “micro-projects” (USD 1,000 for each project) in Nigeria, Uganda, Liberia, Kenya and Rwanda. The aim it to act rapidly to help increase local resilience against the COVID-19 pandemic. Projects supported include, for example, purchasing of food, masks, soapand other hygienic materials; drilling of wells for water; communication to local tribes and ethnic groups; teaching and communication on social distancing and hygiene. All projects are being implemented immediately by local NELIS members.
