In line with our goals and objectives as a non-profit organization committed to developing leadership capacity among Nigerian Teenagers in Secondary Schools, receiving support from NELIS Endowment Fund has provided us the opportunity to expand and continue to fulfil our mission. To effectively organize the five days leadership workshop and be able to deliver quality training to the students required additional facilitators with diverse backgrounds and experiences in order to ensure impactful sessions on the various topics covered. Participants were 55 students, 6 Teachers and 5 Facilitators. From the beginning of the workshop to the end, we learned together, laughed together, dreamed together and collaborated on ways we might make a difference in each other’s lives, the lives of others in our communities, in Nigeria and African continent.
We left with a renewed sense of hope, inspiration & empowerment, along with many new friends. Read on for some of the highlights and details of our time together. A compilation of the student evaluations is included at the end of this report.
